Wagon Gang

After nearly two fun years with a 2018 Fiat 124 Spider, I am back in a lifted wagon. It’s my third one and my first Volvo. Last weekend I got what appears to be an insanely good deal on this Volvo V60 Cross Country wagon. It’s just the base trim, but in Volvo land, that’s still more plush than most of the cars I’ve owned.
Someday, I’d like to have a two seat roadster again as a second car. I tried to make it work, but it’s hard to have one of those as your only car. And that particular one, which I happen to love, kind of got screwed by Fiat’s 2nd abandoning of the US market. The parts it shared with the Miata are abundant, but anything specific to the 124 spider, including all body panels were harder and harder to find. Cars were getting totaled for relatively small accidents or left un-drivable for months at a time because you couldn’t even find a used mechanical piece. It was all kind of anxiety producing.
